In May, we woke him up, and on September 28th, we party one more time before we put him back to sleep. Join us for "Putting The Giant to Sleep," the final day of the 5th Annual Free Snow Bowl Summer Music Fest!
Formed in 2011 as a convergence of members of various Steamboat Springs bands, guitarist/vocalist Jon Gibbs and original bass player/vocalist Bryan Joyce decided it would be fun to create a band that covered primarily Black Sabbath tunes, which was a huge musical influence and inspiration for both from an early age. With Pat Waters on the drums, this vision became a reality. Initially the band decided to learn the live solo Ozzy Osbourne album entitled "Speak of the Devil" in it's an entirety, and as a result, decided to use it as the band's name. From there, they chose several other favorite Black Sabbath tunes, along with a handful of Metallica tunes and various songs by bands like AC/DC and Motley Crue and, with that, had a full repertoire of hard-hitting heavy metal tunes with which to melt faces.

For Taylor Scott, nothing is black and white. He operates in the grey areas between genres, creating his own colorful hybrid of roots-rock, funk, soul, and troubadour-style Americana. It's a sound that's as diverse as its creator, whipped into sharp shape by a musician who's equal parts guitar hero and singer/songwriter craftsman. He embraces the full range of those roles with The Hang, the third album from the Taylor Scott Band.
Produced by longtime Los Lobos member Steve Berlin, The Hang shines new light on a songwriter who has spent much of his life onstage and on the road.
