Born and raised on country music and southern rock in northern Georgia, Jr. Adams left his home in search of the open roads and golden tunes. His songwriting has an earnestness and warmth that brings to mind artists like Ron Sexsmith and The Jayhawks, while his sound on his first solo album is closer to the stripped-down work of more contemporary artists like Vetiver and Phosphorescent.
